Plant Quarantine department is a framework unit of State Plant Protection Service which, within its competence, is responsible for implementation of tasks set for the Service in accordance to " Plant Protection Law" and Regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers " Plant Quarantine Regulations", to preclude import of harmful organisms and their spread within the territory of Latvia.
