List of invasive species in Latvia
Invasive plant species in Latvia are listed in the Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No 468 of 30 June 2008 "List of Invasive Plant Species". One plant species is included in this list - Sosnowsky's hogweed Heracleum sosnowskyi Manden.
List of invasive species in European Union
Invasive species are regulated in Europe by a Regulation that is directly applicable in law and applies to everyone in the European Union:
Regulation (EU) 1143/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 October 2014 on the prevention and management of the introduction and spread of invasive alien species
The invasive plant and animal species listed in these Regulations are binding on all EU Member States, including Latvia.

- First addition to the List of Invasive Species - Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1263 (12 July 2017) updating the list of invasive alien species of concern to the Union established by Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/1141 pursuant to Regulation (EU) No 1143/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council
- Second addition to the List of Invasive Species - Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/1262 of 25 July 2019 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/1141 to update the list of invasive alien species of concern to the Union
