In Latvia it is permitted to use only inspected plant protection products and plant protection equipment in accordance with the procedures of use. The performer of the inspection shall certify the conformity of the equipment with a sticker - the certificate of the equipment.
The State Plant Protection Service shall issue to a certified performer of tests the labels necessary for carrying out tests of plant protection equipment - plant certificates.

Process description

  1. Service requests
    E-mail
    • Customer sends documents to pasts@vaad.gov.lv or official electronic address
    • documents must be signed with a secure electronic signature

    Mail
    • Customer sends documents by mail

    In person
    • customer arrives at the State Plant Protection Service and submits documents

    Documents to be submitted - an application in free form regarding the issuance of labels necessary for carrying out inspections of plant protection products

  2. Payment for service
    The service must be paid EUR 2,13 (per sticker) in accordance with the invoice of the State Plant Protection Service, which has been issued on the basis of Cabinet Regulation No. 493 of 12 July 2012, “Price List of State Plant Protection Service Charge Services”, Annex 2, paragraph 85 (see section “Other information” - “Legislative acts”).
