In order to determine the presence of active substances of plant protection products in soil, plants and plant products which may have come into contact with plant protection products, a sample of soil, plants and plant products must be taken, which the customer then submits for analysis to an accredited laboratory.
The State Plant Protection Service shall, at the request of the customer, take a sample of soil, plants and plant products.

  1. Service requests
    E-mail
    • Customer sends documents to pasts@vaad.gov.lv or official electronic address

    • Customer sends documents by mail

    In person
    • customer arrives in the regional division of the State Plant Protection Service and submits documents

    Documents to be submitted - an application in free form regarding sampling of soil, plants and plant products

  2. Payment for service
    The service shall be paid at EUR 26,00 (per sample) in accordance with the invoice of the State Plant Protection Service, issued on the basis of Regulation No 493 of the Cabinet of Ministers of 12 July 2012 on the “List of State Plant Protection Service Charge Services”, Annex 2, paragraph 109 (see section “Other information” - “Legislative acts”).

  3. Receipt of services
    In person
    • the regional division of the State Plant Protection Service inspector arrives at the address indicated by the customer and takes a sample
